Proper American Flag Disposal

There is a proper and respectful way to dispose of weathered American flags.

The City is assisting in these service by offering drop boxes, colored Red, White,   Blue, at several city locations during the month of June. Locations include City Hall, the Police Station and Health Department.

"Every day it is important to respect our great Nation's Flag. During Flag Day it is important to remember to properly and respectfully dispose of a flag that becomes faded, torn or weather-beaten,"
Richard A. Isbell, the Mayor's Veterans Affairs Coordinator.
